Serendipity 3

ser·en·dip·i·ty [ser-uhn-dip-i-tee–noun 1. an aptitude for making desirable discoveries by accident. 2. 2001 movie starring John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale. 3. New York city restaurant since 1954.

Cute, little, restaurant that is set like a pink, 50s diner straight from a little girl's dream. The frozen hot chocolate comes highly recommended. When I first heard about it, 20 questions came to mind: What's that? How does it look like? How do they get something that is hot, frozen? Is there ice cream in it? NO. Its pretty disappointing actually.
The idea is unique - but when you see/taste it, it all comes down to is crushed ice mixed with hot cocoa powder, poured into a giant cup meant to be shared for 2, and topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. This is why presentation is so important. It's 10 bucks. Was it worth it? If you like it, yes because its meant for 2...if you don't, like me, I'd go back again, but I'd most likely try something different on their menu.
If you find yourself having to wait a long time to be seated and all you want is dessert, see if you can opt to sit at the bar.
